He is survived by: his wife Debbie Cortez; his sons, Jaime Jr. and Javier Cortez; his stepchildren, Anthony Garcia and Trisha Garcia; his siblings, Irma Fonseca (Jose Luis), Javier Jr. Cortez, Carlos Cortez (Norma), Carmen Cortez and Chacho Cortez (Lisa); and his close friend Lupita Chavez. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
