Janice Tayeko Higashi Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 1, 2025, at the age of 97, Janice Tayeko Higashi of Salinas, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Saburo Kitamura and Asayo Kitamura; her husband George Higashi; her daughter Carolyn; and her siblings, Kiyoko Kitamura, Joan Oki of Sacramento and Harvey Kitamura.
She is survived by: her children, Gary, Ken (Lyn) and Shari (Higashi Farms); her grandchildren, Megan, Gregory and Douglas; and her caregivers, Jeracho McGann, Angel Donggon and Janice.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Salinas Valley Japanese American Citizen League, or Lincoln Presbyterian Church.
