He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Armstrong and Irvine Armstrong; and his siblings, Susanne Armstrong, Janet Weber and Irvine Armstrong, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Sally McDaniel (Terry), Bruce Armstrong (Rita) and Bill Armstrong (Dana). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Active in his community he served on a number of business and charity boards of directors and was a member of the Salinas Jaycees, Salinas Elks and a 40 year member of the Salinas Rotary club.
