It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Modesto Morales Arista of Salinas, California, who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife María Elena Arista; his son Carlos Arista; his parents, Fidencio Arista and Francisca Arista; and his brothers, Miguel (Enriqueta) and Odilón Arista (Alicia).
He is survived by: his children, Margarita, Modesto Jr. (Stacey), María Elena, Humberto (Martha) and Isabel Arista (Sergio); his grandchildren, Diana Coughran (Riccardo), Adrianna Afanasiev (John), Mikaela, Noah, Nolan, Gabriel and Carly Arista; and his great grandchildren, Dylan Afanasiev, Flora and Ezechiel Tonelli. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
