He was predeceased by: his parents, Lazaro Mata and Victoria Mata. He is survived by: his spouse Luzviminda "Lucy" Mata; his children, Maria Mata and Pacifico Mata, Jr.; and his sister Remedios Mata Kintanar. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Struve and Laporte Funeral Chapel (41 W San Luis St, Salinas, CA 93901). A rosary will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (22 Stone St, Salinas, CA 93901). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (18200 Damian Way, Prunedale, CA 93907).
