We are sad to announce that, on April 21, 2021, at the age of 82, Richard K Rhodes (Salinas, California) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his friends, Jim, Julie, Alvin, Terry and Anne; his son-in-law John; his wife Sally Rhodes; his daughters, Sarah DeSantis (John) and Elena Mueller (Topher); his grandchildren, Nico DeSantis, Anthony DeSantis and Julia Sexton; and his sister Barbara McQueen (Jim).

Due to COVID restrictions, a private service for close friends and family will be held next week.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Chartwell School, Palma School, or Santa Catalina.

“Just today heard about Richard’s passing. We were out of the State, when he died. We spent many days and hours together through the development of the Markham Ranch. I learned so much about Salinas and of many local people. Some ended up being our neighbors and friends. He was a special friend to so many. God Bless, Buck and Sylvia”
