He was predeceased by: his parents, Telesforo Melendez and Fannie Melendez; and his brother Santiago T. Melendez. He is survived by: his wife Bee; his sons, Eric (Lisa), Mark and Aaron; his grandchildren, Morgan, Jessica and Jared; and his favorite soup maker Kelly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Porte Mortuary (41 W San Luis St, Salinas, CA 93901). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Joseph's Catholic Church (15 Railroad Ave, Spreckels, CA 93962).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dorothy's Kitchen, one of Bob's favorite charities, in his memory.
