With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Veronica Vasquez Muñoz of Salinas, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 47. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Veronica leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Veronica may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her father Jesus S. Vasquez. She is survived by: her husband Wilbert J. Muñoz; her children, Wilbert Bruce and Trinity Rose Muñoz; her mother Maria Perez Vasquez; and her siblings, Jesus Vasquez (Laura), Maria Vance (Shawn), Antonio Vasquez (Elizabeth), Sandy Ramirez-Vasquez (Juan) and Nancy Vasquez (Israel). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, god children, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alta Vista Mortuary (41 E Alisal St, Salinas, CA 93901). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Christ the King Church (240 Calle Cebu, Salinas, CA 93901). A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (18200 Damian Way, Prunedale, CA 93907).
