With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Nicholas Mestas (San Bernardino, California), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 44. As Joseph departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joseph. Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his wife Cecilia M. Mestas; his parents, Laura Lemus and Steven Mestas Sr.; his siblings, Steven Mestas Jr. and Breanna Lemus; his grandmother Ruth Torres; his in-laws, Peter and Jacqueline Calzadillas; and his siblings-in-law, Peter (Angel) and Kathy Mestas. He is also survived by 3 niece 7 nephews very close Aunts Uncles cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery (570 E Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404).
