She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Richard and Ola McDowell. She is survived by: her former husband Harold M. Singer; her sons, Keith and Neil; her husband Carl Metoyer; her daughters, Carla Spring and Rosemarie Metoyer; her grandson Louis Metoyer; her close friends, Kaye Hayes, Mary Newman, Jean Peacock and Denise Stegall; and her sister Donna Armstead. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great- grandchikaen, nieces, and nephews.
Leotra made significant contributions to her community through her work at Learner's Department Store, where she became the first Black Window Dresser.
