He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Gardner and Era Mae Weaver Gardner. He is survived by: his former spouse Vanda Larue Williams; his wife Joy Hester Gardner; his daughters, Kim Edwards (John) of Meridian and Jan Brister (David) of Lampasas; his grandchildren, William, Abby Edwards, Case and Emily Brister; and his daughters, Addison and Sutton Young.
