She is survived by: her son Graydon Beatty; her daughter-in-law Minghong Sun; her granddaughter Changchang Ding; and her nieces and nephews, Janet Worthing, Kay Borud (Steve), Roger (Julia) and Ralph Worthing (Tina).
Carol served parishes in Fargo ND, Pierre SD, and Cedar Falls IA, during which she earned a Doctor of Ministry in Ecumenical Relations, and a PhD in Theological Studies from the Graduate Theological Foundation.
