He is survived by: his children, Debra Richter (Jeffrey) of Carson City, NV and Daniel Jr. Thorne (Mary) of Valley View, TX; his grandchildren, Amelia Phinn (Ryan) of Scotts Valley, CA, Katrina Edmunds (Travis) of Gardnerville, NV, Christopher Thorne of Valley View, TX and Kyle Richter (Nora) of Reno, NV; his great grandchildren, Noah Phinn, Cole Edmunds, Evelyn Richter and Daniel Richter; his wife Diane; his stepchildren, Troy Jernigan (Heather) of El Cajon, CA and Cindy Estrada; his children, Cassandra DePhilippis, Thomas Jernigan of El Cajon, CA, Ashley Jernigan of El Cajon, CA and Nicole Joles (Dan) of Alpine, CA; his grandchild Niko Joles of Alpine, CA.; Tiffany DePhilippis of San Diego, CA and Capris. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
