He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferris Vinson and Violet Vinson; his sister Pamela Smith; and his son David Wayne. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Vinson (Ford); his daughters, Jacqueline Chapman and Kimberly Powell; his sons-in-law, Scott and Joel; his grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew Chapman, Joshua and Zane Powell; and his foster daughter Rosemary.
A burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Miramar National Cemetery (5795 Nobel Dr, San Diego, CA 92122). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the North Park Community Church (3702 29th St, San Diego, CA 92104).
