With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Erica Maree Hommel of San Diego, California, born in Belleville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 17, 2025 at the age of 36. She was predeceased by: her mother Genevieve "Genny" Hommel; and her uncles, Mark, Tom and John Goodman. She is survived by: her father Michael Hommel of Mascoutah; her sister Amanda Hommel (Gregory Sweet) of Shiloh; and her aunts and uncles, Patricia Robles (Frank), Tim Hommel (Julia), Jim Goodman (Shirley), Bill Goodman (Kathy), Melody Goodman, Mary Friedman (Allen), Suzann Mueller (Terry), Jeff Goodman (Deborah) and Jerry Goodman (Susan Lukavsky).
