She was predeceased by: her parents, Emilio Montoya and Angelica Montoya. She is survived by: her son Don (Jo); her grandsons, Jonathan (Alyssa) and Travis; her great grandchild Gabby; and her sister Bonnie Montoya.

She also participated as a volunteer in the RSVP program affiliated with the San Diego Police Department.
