He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Pappas and Bertha Pappas of Lisbon, Ohio.; his wife Joann Premus; his daughter Margaret; and his siblings, Agnes, Andrew, Gus, James and Virginia.
He is survived by: his daughter Katherine Pappas (Alvin James Meredith) of San Diego; his grandchildren, Monique, Katherine, Brenda Gould, Mark Armstrong, Andrew and Paul Meredith; his close friend Steve Munzinger; and his caregiver Greg Shepherd. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
