We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2023, at the age of 92, Helen Jean Summers (San Diego, California) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Ruth Allen of Kansas City; and her sister Frances Baxter of Forest Hill, MD. She is survived by: her husband Jack R. Summers of Cardiff; her father Cylmond Allen; her children, Deborah Hawes of Boca Raton, FL, Ann Johnson (Richard Johnson) of Solana Beach, CA, Cynthia Blount (David) of Olathe, KS and Stephen Summers of Tampa, FL.; her grandchildren, Leona Hawes, Brian Johnson (Autumn), Mark Johnson, Dr. Laura Shahtaji (Alan Shahtaji), Jessica Ramirez (Carolos), Ashley Tyer, Katherine Hoban (Nick), Amanda Arel (Aaron Arel) and T. J. Evans (Kate); her brother John; and her sister-in-law Joyce Summers of Smithville, MO.. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate, may do so to the Downs Syndrome Society or to the Alzheimer's Association.
