“I first met Jane in 1972 when I was hired as an evening shift RN at Sharp Rehabilitation Center. Jane was on the night shift. She immediately became a great friend and mentor. Our friendship continued after her retirement and we often had lunches at Neiman Marcus. She was so proud of her daughters and thrilled to have a wonderful granddaughter. My daughters always loved talking with Jane and said that she was very encouraging. I will miss her greatly. Cookie Gender”

She welcomed me into her Sharp Rehab family and was always encouraged the people who worked under her. It’s funny that when I hear her name I don’t just think of the person...I instantly think of her personality. She was always excited and interested when she interacted with someone. She influenced a lot of nurses. Bless you Jane.”

“I was so sad to hear about Jane's passing. She was my supervisor at Sharp Rehab Center and hired me, but also served as a mentor and mother-figure for me,. Jane always had a smile and a hug when you needed one, and provided sage advice and direction to all the staff. Her sly sense of humor kept us going under trying times as well. I am glad I was able to stay in touch with her after her retirement and my departure from SRC, but am sad that I was not able to see her in person in 2020 due to COVID”
