“Jon was my USS GOLDSBOROUGH (DDG-20) shipmate in the Pineapple Fleet in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii during the mid-1980's which included an exciting deployment to the Persian Gulf. Jon was an outstanding officer and friend with his quick wit and team spirit. We saw each other twice at the USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG-57) decommissioning and this year in Tucson where we told sea stories and caught up on life. His tragic passing shocked everyone and I know he's in heaven watching us all. Thank you, Jon!”
