He was predeceased by : his father Ernesto Prodigalidad. He is survived by : his mother Grace Prodigalidad (Lemasa) of San Diego, CA; his wife Donna Robles; and his siblings, Laura Roberts (Ken) of Surprise, AZ, Ernesto Prodigalidad, Jr. (Nora) of Temecula, CA and Dana Boyer (Clay) of Alameda, CA.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley (5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association in Luis' name.
