It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Stewart of San Diego, California, born in Morenci, Arizona, who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Lydia leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Lydia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Rojo and Antonio Zuniga; her brother Tony Zuniga; and her former husband Joe T. Ruiz. She is survived by: her husband Raymond Stewart; and her children, Susan Perez, Theresa Crawford and Joe T. Ruiz, Jr..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the El Camino Memorial Chapel (5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the El Camino Memorial Park (5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121).
