He is survived by : his husband David Humphrey; his mother Denise Downey; his stepfather Dave Downey; his father Stephen Folks Sr.; his stepmother Lorna Folks; his siblings, Sarah Downey, Chelsea Hinds, Chase Folks and Kenneth Downey; and his pet Twiggy.

Viewing was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the El Camino Memorial (5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121). A rosary was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. Didacus Catholic Church (4772 Felton St, San Diego, CA 92116). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
