She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Blakely and Eleanor White Blakely. She is survived by: her son Dr. Jonathan Shurin of San Diego, CA; her daughter-in-law Dr. Catalina Reyes of San Diego; her brothers, Craig Blakely of St. Paul, MN and Stephen Blakely of East Sandwich, MA; her grandchildren, Olivia and Daniel Shurin of San Diego; and her sisters, Marian Bennett of Naples, FL and Raye Farr of Ft. Collins, CO. She is also survived by two aunts, a niece and nephew; and several cousins.
