He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Gordon Hinds and Edna W. Hinds (Miller); his children, Barbara, Thomas Eugene Jr., Robin and Valerie; his grandchildren, Doug, Jenny, Sadie and Caroline; his brother San Diego; his nephew Tim Hinds; his grandson Cole Grossl; and his son-in-law Jeff Grossl. He was also cherished by cousins and friends.
