He is survived by: his sons, Eric Allen Nelson and Kyle Christopher Nelson; his godson Hiroyuki Moritaka; his grandchildren, Dylan Nelson, Nicole, Natalie, Eric A. Nelson, Elisabeth D. Wisdom and Kylie Peterson-Nelson; his daughter-in-law Katie Nelson; his wife Bonnie Jo Nelson; and his siblings, DeLaney L. Nelson, Mary Crowden and Edna Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
