It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Lee of San Francisco, California, who passed away on September 25, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Li Bao Zhi and Ma Shi; his daughters, Helen and Nancy; his wife Linda Chang Ling Lee; his son Robert; and his grandsons, Aaron, Matthew, Andrew, Aidan and Ciaran.
One of his greatest joys was being able to reconnect with his siblings in China as Taiwan-China relations thawed in the in 1990's. Eventually, creaky knees and the Covid pandemic first slowed then stopped his overseas travels.
