He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Conception Montenegro; his parents, Cristobal and Eugenia (Montenegro) of Garcia; and his children, Emil Montenegro and Catherine Ortiz. He was also cherished by four daughters, two sons, and dozens of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
