It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Preston Cheek (San Francisco, California), born in Hearne, Texas, who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Preston is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his mother Christine Leon Hicks Cheek; and his son Milton Preston. He is survived by: his father Isaac Myers Cheek; his sons, Joseph Allen and David Allen; his granddaughter Linda Dianne; his daughter Mirna Christina; his wife Rosa Ocoro Castillo; his daughter Linda; and his siblings, Christine Brown and Richard Cheek. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
