He was predeceased by: his parents, Andon Papingu and Margarita Lefteri Papingu (Moci); his children, Anjeza Katerina Anderson (Robert Tyler-Cook) and Angelina Papingu (Ben-James Tippey); his grandchildren, Zayden Ryan Anderson and Izabella Zoe Anderson; his in-laws, Dhanil and Katerina Mertiri; his brothers-in-law, Tristan Mertiri (Lefteri) and Arthur Mertiri (Kathy Lampros); his niece Marinela Mertiri (Steven Jones); his great-niece Makayla Sky Jones; and his nephew Daniel Mertiri.

He is survived by: his wife Alma Papingu (Mertiri).
