He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Gynn Austin and Elizabeth Gorham Pittman; and his brother Stewart Gorham Austin, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Roulhac Austin; his brother Donald G. Austin, Jr.; his sister-in-law Dede Austin; his nephews, Donald G. Austin III (Kelly) and Stewart G. Austin, Jr. (Ellen); and his niece Ellen Austin Smith (Donovan). He is also survived by eight great-nieces and great-nephews and godchildren.
