He was predeceased by: his parents, David Barraza and Helen Barraza; his sister Helen; and his wife Arlene. He is survived by: his children, Richard (Dawn Marie), Steven (Robyn), Kenneth (Gloria) and Linda (Thomas Lighthouse); his grandchildren, Lauren (Joseph Gaggero), Erica, Shelby (Daniel Cooper), Beth (Kyle Otto), Matthew (Kat), Emma, William (Alicia), Mitchell and Hannah; his stepgrandchildren, Nicholas Magill (Elizabeth) and Shelia (Ryan Beard); and his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Hank, Brady, Madison, Joseph and Robert.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary (466 N Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Queen of Apostles Church (4911 Moorpark Ave, San Jose, CA 95129).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Queen of Apostles Church or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, in support of those in need – a cause close to Dave's heart.
