With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Esther Castillo (San Jose, California), born in Ballinger, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025 at the age of 85. She is survived by: her husband Santiago Castillo II; her daughters, Lucinda Castillo Elston and Lori Castillo Martinez; and her grandchildren, Santiago Castillo IV, Michael Castillo, Christina Castillo, Stephanie Elston, Cruz Castillo, Katherine Elston, Diego Martinez and Joaquin Martinez. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Willow Glen Funeral Home (1039 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA 95125). A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. John Vianney Church (4600 Hyland Ave, San Jose, CA 95127). A committal service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (2650 Madden Ave, San Jose, CA 95116).
