He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jamileh Shaheen and Peter Shaheen (Butros); his wife Mary Destefani; his siblings, Vicky Shaheen, Victor Shaheen (Amal) and Rick Shaheen; and his stepchildren, Joseph DeStefani and Jayme Kabelac (Will). He was also cherished by his many nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews.
