With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herman Hughes of San Jose, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 14, 2025 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Precious Hughes and Savannah Hughes. He is survived by: his siblings, John C. Hughes, Sam Hughes, Clarence Hughes, Willie May Hughes, Grace Hughes, Chester Hughes, Dora Lee Hughes, Larry Hughes, Rose Hughes and Ruth Hughes; his wife Ethel Azel Parker; his children, Carol Rene, Michael, Rodney Hughes, Ronald Hughes and Randy Hughes; his daughter-in-law Robbie Hughes; his great grandchild Charlie Troutfield; his siblings' children, Terry, Merry Adams and Myron Adams; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Julie Barnett.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alta Mesa Memorial Park - Large Chapel (695 Arastradero Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94306). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
