He was predeceased by: his parents, Rio Nakatsu and Betty Nakatsu; and his sister Brenda Zimmer. He is survived by: his wife Emi Carol Nakatsu (Uchiyama); his daughters, Sharrie Fukumoto (Kevin), Stacey Kanemoto (Keith) and Denise Uyeda (Greg); his grandchildren, Nicole Fujihara, Bryan Fukumoto, Eric Uyeda, Brandon Uyeda, Kristina Angeles and Steven Uyeda; his great grandchildren, Makena Fujihara and Harper Angeles; and his sisters, Gail Nakayama and Shirlane Kaneda. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and many dogs.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the San Jose Buddhist Church (640 N 5th St, San Jose, CA 95112).
