She is survived by: her spouse João C. Nunes; her daughter Maria Avila; her son-in-law Adolfo Cardoso; her grandchildren, Tony, Ana, Jorge Avila and Alina Ornelas (Daniel Nicholson); and her great grandchildren, Ryan and Natalia Avila. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
