She was predeceased by: her parents, João Joaquim Barbosa and Maria; her husband Arturo Gracioso; and her siblings, José Barbosa, Filomena Bolarinho and Lurdes Batista.
She is survived by: her close friend Mariano DeMelo; her siblings, Rosário Garcia of New Bedford, Massachusetts, Conceição Andrade of Vila Franca, Campo, São Miguel and Azores; her caregiver Lisa Pereira of San Jose; Laurie DeMelo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
