She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Maria; her husband Anthony Della Grotte (Tony); her daughter Joyce Ann; her mother W. Rogers; her daughter Mary Jane; her sister Josephine; Josie (Tony). She was also cherished by nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and more relatives and friends.
In May 2022, at 102 years of age and still able to use her walker, she moved into Villa Siena, a very warm and welcoming skilled nursing facility operated by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul.
