He was predeceased by: his mother Marie Dalldorf Eggers. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hope Eggers of Commandant's Residence; his father Donald L. Eggers; and his siblings, Andrea Scharff (Michael), Kevin Eggers (Robbi), Michael "Mike" Eggers and Tim Eggers (Mary). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
