He is survived by: his children, Nam, Hằng, Hạnh, Hiếu and Trung; his wife Mỹ Lệ Thị Phan; his sisters, Đoàn Thu Ba and Đoàn Thu Hà; his grandchildren, Adrianna, Adam, Rocco, Xander and Serena; Việt Nam.
