“Vince, I only knew you for that one year at OLA in Quincy, but we easily became friends that year. I remember on February 1-3, 1985, we drove from Quincy to Urbana for the weekend. At the time, little did I know that this Minnesota guy would live in Champaign/Urbana for 26 years, where I still reside. I have thought about you thousands of times, and wondered how you were doing. Having spent 1966 in Vietnam, I often shared my Vietnamese vocabulary with you, to your amusement. Rest in peace.”
