He was predeceased by: his parent Myrle Pfeiffer; and his wife Jan Gregg. He is survived by: his father Harold Pfeiffer; his siblings, Linda Pfeiffer (Thad Jackson) and Gary Pfeiffer (Mary Ann Bianco); and his nieces, Kristin Callahan (John Evans) and Annalise Pfeiffer (Ryan Laughlin).
