Margarete (Ulmer) Pierog Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margarete (Ulmer) Pierog (San Luis Obispo, California), who passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Margarete came to California from Düsseldorf, Germany to be with her sister. She met Joseph through a friend while he was in the air force at Beale AFB in Yuba city, California. They married and moved to Sacramento, California where they lived, worked and raised their two children until Joseph’s passing in July 2007.

She is survived by her two children and three grandchildren. She will be dearly remembered and missed.

Though Margarete has departed this earth, her love will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished.
