He was predeceased by : his former life partner Linda Pighini Elliot. He is survived by : his wife Patricia; his son Kevin; his brother Daniel; his niece Danielle; and his stepchildren, Jeffrey Rubi, Colleen Rubi, Manuel Rubi, Jr. and Megan Rubi.

Donations may be made in his memory to the Davidson School, Elwyn, Pennsylvania.
