He was predeceased by: his parents, Erasmo Samano and Marina Martínez Avendaño. He is survived by: his sister Estela Serratos; and his children, Raquel S. Araujo (Juan), Gilbert Samano Jr. (Carmen), Elías Samano Sr. (Bree), Sem Samano Sr. (Irene) and Xochitl González. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 6:30 PM at 256 Smilax Rd, San Marcos, CA 92069. A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Cypress Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
