She was predeceased by: her parents, William Akert and Bluma Akert; and her siblings, Beryl Akert Jackson, William Bennet Akert and Betty Akert Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Robert J Gifford; her sons, Gary Gifford and Robert Gifford of Portland, OR; and her grandchildren, Jack, Amanda, Warren and Kathryn.
