He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Francisco Banda and Edna W. Banda; and his brother Dr. Perry Banda. He is survived by: his brother Lionel Banda (Sandee); his wife Carolyn Banda (Patten); and his daughter Margaret (William Gould). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
