It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Marie Harris of San Pedro, California, born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on September 23, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Wesley Ellis and Leola White Ellis; and her husband Eugene Harris.

After retiring in 1994, she worked in Los Angeles at the Foundation for the Jr. Blind for nine years.
