He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jose Maria Alanis Salazar and Cristina Salazar Almaguer; his spouse Eufrocina Herrera; and his children, Luis Martin Alanis Jr., Maria Magdalena Valdovinos, Reverend Deacon David Alanis, Alicia Alanis-Villegas and Gabriel Alanis. He was also cherished by his brother, sister, 6 children, daughters and sons-in-law, 18 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
